Here Fishy, Fishy...

Well, I just got my fisheye adapter lens for my camera, and I love it! I got it because I can't afford the actual lens itself...I do have to say, $65 as opposed to $500...not too shabby! I am having one problem, though...I can't get the adapter ring off my camera. I guess that comes with saving money?! Anyway, I started to take a few quick pics...

I am hoping to put up my fun food notebooks on Etsy soon, also...

It's 5 O'Clock Somewhere!

I just finished putting up some of my handpainted glasses on Etsy! I always give these as gifts along with some spirits! Here's a li'l peek!

Christmas Card 2009!

Well, here it is!!! I am very happy about how it came out...although being the profectionist that I am, of course I am not happy with the inconsistincy with the lighting....ehhh, oh well, right?!

Pinot & Pokeno It Is!

My little Luke bought me Pokeno yesterday. Boy, did that take me back to my childhood! I still have my grandmother's old game, as well. I can remember sitting on our porch with my grandmother, sister, and our neighboor Pauline playing Pokeno and Skat for hours! So, last night we played Pokeno with the boys. What a great time! It's nice when you can hand down a "tradition" to your own children...one you have so many fond memories of... Although I added the Pinot...I don't remember Grandma Carmie having that...lol :)

I Can't Wait!

I have been excited about making my Christmas card before, but never like this! I am so excited to finish it! Other years I have made Christmas cd's with the kids' pictures on them, but this year I think I have come up with something very unique! I can't wait to share it with you as soon as it is finished and sent out!

New Etsy Shop!

OK, so I started my Etsy shop under the name ToeTagz, because my mother was going to make these cute little tags and I was going to put them up for her. Well, that never happened, so I wanted to restart my shop with my own name - SuiteHeart. I still haven't finished the details of the shop, but I hope to have my banner, profile, etc. done soon. Needless to say, I haven't put up very much yet, because I am also retaking some of the pictures of my stuff. Please check it out!

Lots of cute items to come - aprons, painted glasses, notebooks, and much, much more!!!

I Survived!!!

So, it is the day after Black Friday and I made it! I successfully started my Christmas shopping! It was crazy, as usual, but I had nice girl's day out with my mother & daughter. Broke? Yes, but isn't that what Christmas is all about? Nah, to me it's still about Jesus' birthday & being with family...I do, however feel the need to spend...but, ehhh, I do that all year anyway! One thing I did find, though, was 80's Scene It! I am so excited to kick my husband's butt!

The Other Oprah

People always laugh when they find out our chihuahua is named Oprah, but we are so used to her being named that, that when someone is talking about "The Original Oprah", I think of my dog first...

The Lego Man

My oldest son wanted to be a Lego Minifig for Halloween, so I made him this costume (with my husband's help). He absolutely loved it! I have to say it was the best costume I've ever made...excluding, of course the sixth grade costume that I made for myself-a TV tuned to NBC with the rainbow peacock. Yes, a strange choice for a sixth grader, but I wanted to make sure no one had the same costume. Needless to say, no one did!

My First Post! YAY ME!!!

OK, I've had this blog for a while now, but I didn't know what to say. Me speechless? Yes, this is rare...but I am hoping to express myself on a keyboard. We'll see! I am about halfway through my photography course and things are going pretty well, I must say. This past week, however was not the best...I had "writer's block"...hmmm, what is that called for a photographer? I think I am just so used to a digital camera that it is hard for me to take 35mm photos. I get "stingy" with my exposures...and as a (somewhat) perfectionist, if I don't think the shot is great, I won't take the picture. I am a little more generous with my digital. The funny thing is, it is not the money to buy the film that I care about...it's the wasted photo. Needless to say, as much as I love my class, I love my digital camera more. This is a photo I like to call Holy Caterpillar...I took it at the Kateri Shrine. Not to mention the fact that the poor thing was lucky, because I almost stepped on it on the way out.
